hi need easy pie recipes as first time messing about with the stuff

4 oz caster sugar

I have tried the last three thanksgivings to make an edible pecan pie. Have failed every time. Last one looked like death on the insde and tasted worse. Ugh!. Anyone know a good, easy, failproof recipe……..preferably with chocalate included.
