can I use this for a pie crust?
Ok so I have some recipes for a strawberry rhubarb pie and I was wondering if I could crush up a lot of gram crackers and sprinkle on top as a sort of "top crust" And if I can...can I put the gram crackers on before backing? or should I wait for after?
I am buying a store bought crust for the regular crust but I am talking about just the "top crust"
I do this all the time. I usually make my own crust as well. Also, Teddy Grahms work well for a crust or a topping.
My suggestion, place crust topping on half way in the baking time.
