Kitchen Weighing Scale

I'm hoping some one can repair my scale.?

I have a kitchen scale. It cost me $10.00
Then if fell on the floor and broke.
The needle just doesn't go back to '0' anymore like it did and it won't weigh anything. The needle just sits there.
Is it gone for good?
Or can I fix it?

I've been working on scales for over 20 years. I think you need to have a small service and pitch the little guy. They are throw aways. Pick up a new nad be a little more careful.
